We identify as the Downtown Brooklyn Arts Alliance and, at this organization’s beginnings we knew each other quite well but organizations change. People move on to different jobs, relationships shift and in some cases the personal connections that preceded the creation of DBAA disappeared. This is a call to establish new ones.

What if we created a place where we could get to know each other? A place that we could go on a regular basis, where we could brig a “brown-bag” lunch and hang out together with other artists, administrators, and all of R of the Downtown Brookly Arts district. We could talk about anything we want, bring up work issues, try out a song, dance, spoken word piece or a scene? If we could do this twice a month, maybe that will pay off in ways we can’t even count…yet.

No need to reserve or RSVP. It’s just drop in, eat, stay awhile and go about your day.

We’ll supply water. Bring your own lunch. Who knows, maybe this will be a THING?
